About

Our search for a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of London led us to the Atlas Mountains near Marrakesh. We stumbled upon a secluded spot adorned with quince trees, which inspired us to name the place Villa Quince. The estate is further surrounded by olive trees, adding to its serene ambiance. But what made us love the property was the unbelievable 360 rooftop views of the Atlas Mountains.

The area

Ouirgane is a small town and rural commune in AI Haouz Province of the Marrakesh-Tensift-EI Haouz regain of Morocco. It's a small Berber Village within the Atlas Mountains. There's plenty of activities here in the village such as visiting the Barrage de Ouirgane where you can swim and fish. Also, Marigha Salt mines are a great visit to explore how salt is created here in Marigha. Hiking is very well known here in Ouirgane area where there's a lot of options on different hiking tracks.

The inspiration

As we began renovating the property to create a serene space for relaxation, we realized our desire to share it with the world. The pleasant climate and temperature of being serounded by the mountains with a wonderful breeze make it an ideal escape from the summer heat in Marrakesh. Additionally, we designed the space to serve as a remote workspace with an unreal setting that offers both productivity and relaxation.

Climate

The region enjoys an ideal summer climate with temperatures ranging around 35 degrees Celsius, but the cool mountain breeze makes the heat bearable, and enjoyable to be outside near the pool or on the rooftop enjoying the views.

In the winter the temperatures range around 25 degrees Celsius. Living dining area and both two lodges have a log fire for cosy winter nights in the Mountains.
